Gabriel is Second Chance Companions miracle kitty – he is our feature Christmas cat that is looking for a forever home…

Gabriel has an amazing story of survival starting at just three months old…He had a fractured pelvis and couldn’t “poop” so everything was blocked inside which forced his intestines in the chest area which made it very hard to breathe. The vet said he needed surgery right away and then he may not make it. During the surgery his heart stopped and they got it going again…MIRACLE! Gabe is a very beautiful blue eyed kitty that is deaf but otherwise healthy and very good with dogs, cats and kids. Basically he can’t hear any commotion so gets along with all.

This is Alyce‘s brother Andrew…

Andrew is a Seal Pt. Himalayan Mix and like Alyce was rescued from a local barn in the SW Washington area. Extremely playful and gorgeous to boot! They have another sibling Bootsie (black with white paws) but he is one active kitty and didn’t want his photo taken. Andrew was a ham for the camera and would definitely make a great family addition.

This is Desi a Second Chance Companion rescue available for adoption….

Desi was rescued about three years ago with six other siblings. She is on the shy side but after about 15 minutes she started really working the camera! Miss Desi likes the attention on her own terms, but definitely likes to be loved. She does have a sister Daisy that is looking for a home too…

WDWF??? World Dachshund Wrestling Federation in Vancouver, WA. This is the real deal folks – yet to be sanctioned by any major media outlet. You saw it here first… well, not if you have your own Dachshunds at home. I am sure most of you have WDWF sessions frequently!

There is never a dull moment with pets in the house! In fact they help us take those needed breaks throughout the day. Whether its a quick walk or breaking up a WDWF match!

Bruce is a loyal companion to Marcia – true to his breed…

Favorite Food: Apples, pears, raspberries – the riper the better!
Pet Peeve: Dr visits
Favorite Pastime: Destroying stuffed toys
Naughtiest Deed: What? my dog?
Obsession: Fruit
Favorite Toy: the newest one

It is very easy to see the sweetness in Bruce’s eyes, can you believe that he is rescue! Marcia has had him almost a year and the relationship between the two seems like they have been together since puppyhood. It shows that Bruce has found his forever home her. Like I said before he is a loyal companion and is always aware of where mom is going. On a side note… Bruce can destroy a cuz sqeaker toy in less than an hour – I have never seen that before!

Vancouver Washington Dog Photographer | Howl at the Moon pet store

Last weekend I helped out fellow photographer friend, Larry Chen of Studio PD, photograph dogs for Christmas! It was a great fundraiser for Second Chance Companions at the Howl at the Moon pet store in Vancouver, WA. We had a fun day meeting new people and their furbabies big and small.

Here is Terry’s (owner of Howl at the Moon) Leonberger, this would be a VERY big dog…of course I am in love with her nose!

If you haven’t visited Howl at the Moon it should be on your list! She has some amazing pet themed gift items in a gorgeous setting – it was hard not to buy more than I did. If you are looking for a gift for that pet lover or for yourself this is the place to go. I was able to do some much needed Christmas shopping and found the t-shirt that I have been wanting to get for Kirk… if you are not in the Vancouver, WA area you can find them here.
